Eurisy at the opening ceremony of the 2024 VeneTo Stars Challenge

On April 30th, the VeneTo Stars project “Space Data for UNESCO Heritage Site Valorization” will be presented at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. The ceremony will launch the new edition of the project for young European Talents developed by the Regione Veneto (IT). Building upon the success of the previous year, the VeneTo Stars Challenge 2024, will address the protection of cultural heritage and UNESCO sites through the use of space data. During the opening ceremony, Eurisy Secretary General, Ms. Annalisa Donati, will deliver a talk in the session titled “Satellite Data for Cultural Heritage: Hands-On Examples and Future Perspectives” describing the role of space data for cultural heritage monitoring and protection, providing also examples of Eurisy activities and projects in the field. The event will also feature contributions from Italian Delegates and space data experts from the European Space Agency.

Satellite-based Services for Disaster Risk Management in Portugal

EUSPA together with Eurisy, in cooperation with the Portuguese space agency, Portugal Space, is organising the sixth workshop of the series "Satellite-based Services for Disaster Risk Management". The event will take place in the city of Lisbon, Portugal. During the event experts will present operational satellite-based services for disaster risk management. Early adopters and relevant authorities are called to illustrate the challenges and benefits stemming from the integration and use of satellite-based applications. Ultimately, participants will be challenged to move from the national to the European perspective and to discuss ways to improve user data accessibility for disaster risk management.
