Eurisy at the opening ceremony of the 2024 VeneTo Stars Challenge
On April 30th, the VeneTo Stars project “Space Data for UNESCO Heritage Site Valorization” will be presented at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. The ceremony will launch the new edition of the project for young European Talents developed by the Regione Veneto (IT). Building upon the success of the previous year, the VeneTo Stars Challenge 2024, will address the protection of cultural heritage and UNESCO sites through the use of space data. During the opening ceremony, Eurisy Secretary General, Ms. Annalisa Donati, will deliver a talk in the session titled “Satellite Data for Cultural Heritage: Hands-On Examples and Future Perspectives” describing the role of space data for cultural heritage monitoring and protection, providing also examples of Eurisy activities and projects in the field. The event will also feature contributions from Italian Delegates and space data experts from the European Space Agency.
