The European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities (EIP-SCC) is an initiative supported by the European Commission bringing together cities, industry, SMEs, research and other smart city actors to improve urban life through more sustainable integrated solutions. This includes applied innovation, better planning, a more participatory approach, higher energy efficiency, better transport solutions, intelligent use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), etc.

NEREUS, Network of European Regions Using Space Technologies, is an initiative by regions from all over Europe, which share as Full Members its governance.The network aims to explore the benefits of space technologies for Regions and their citizens and to spread their applications. NEREUS is a strong voice for the regional dimension of European Space Policy and programs as well as end-user needs.

 

 

 

The Belgium Federal Science Policy Office (BELSPO) currently manages the country’s contribution to the European Space Agency and various EU programmes.The Office provides the Belgium government with a continuous flow of data and policy recommendations in the area of sustainable development, climate change, biodiversity, energy, health, mobility and the information society.Along numerous research programmes, the office also offers support to Belgium companies interested in entering the global geo-information market.

 

 

 

The Italian Space Agency was founded in 1988. Its purpose is to coordinate all of Italy's efforts and investments in the space sector. Operating under the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR), the agency cooperates with numerous national and international entities who are active in aerospace research and technology, and with the Italian President of the Council of Minister

 

 

Established in September 2014, the Polish Space Agency (POLSA) supports the national space industry by combining the world of business and science.  An important aspect of the Agency's activity is to promote the development of satellite technology that can be used in everyday life, including communication, navigation, environmental monitoring and weather forecasting.

   

The Satellite Applications Catapult is an independent innovation and technology company, created to foster growth across the economy through the exploitation of space. They help organisations make use of and benefit from satellite technologies, and bring together multi-disciplinary teams to generate ideas and solutions in an open innovation environment.

From its Urban Innovation Centre, the Future Cities Catapult provides world-class facilities and expertise to support the development of new products and services, as well as opportunities to collaborate with others, test ideas and develop business models.
